3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND
4 AND EXTEND CONTRACTS WITH NINE (9) ORGANIZATIONS TO
5 PROVIDE NEIGHBORHOOD-BASED AFTER-SCHOOL/OUT OF
6 SCHOOL TIME PROGRAMS IN TARGETED NEIGHBORHOODS; AND
7 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing Prevention, Intervention, and
10 Youth Development Programs and services to enhance public safety and community-building, and
11 WHEREAS, the City has contracts with services providers that may be extended for one (1)
12 additional contract term upon appropriation, satisfactory performance and mutual agreement of the
13 parties, and
14 WHEREAS, the City desires to extend the contracts with contract amounts adjusted
15 appropriately based on contract performance and the City desire to amend the contract, upon mutual
16 agreement of the parties, to better define the performance requirements and meet the needs of the youth
17 served by the programs.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
19 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager has the authority to extend contracts for Neighborhood-Based
21 Afterschool/Out-of-School Time Programs with the amount of the contracts to be based on the
22 performance of the contractors in amounts not to exceed the following:
23 East Neighborhood
24 Pulaski County Youth Services(6-11) 75,000
25 Central Neighborhood
26 Guiding Others to Deliverance(12-17) 78,000
27 Our House(youth ages 6-17) 152,000
28 Midtown Neighborhood
29 Faith Care/InnerCity Futurenet(6-11) 75,000
30 Little Rock Boys/Girls Clubs-Mitchell (6-11) 74,500
31 Little Rock Boys/Girls Clubs-Mitchell (12-17) 74,500
32 Southwest Neighborhood
33 In His Image Youth Development Center(6-11) 76,998

10 Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with these organizations
11 providing Neighborhood-based After-School/Out of School Time Programs for targeted neighborhoods.
12 Section 3. Funds for these programs are from Special Projects dollars, account number
13 S 15A297.
14 Section 4. The term of the contract is from March 1, 2014,to February 28, 2015.
15 Section 5. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be
16 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
17 resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
18 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this resolution.
19 Section 6. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof,which are in conflict with
20 any provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
