6 LOCATED IN BLOCK 186 OF THE ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
7 DONATED TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS BY THE """"

9 PUBLIC PURPOSES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. s +~

11 WHEREAS, the Trust for Public Land, a California charitable corporation, offered to donate to t t
12 City a remnant of land within Block 186 of the Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and, :;0
13 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark. Resolution No. 13,825 (January 21, 2014) authorized the acceptance
14 of this land for public purposes but included an error in the property description; and,
15 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors wishes to amend Resolution No. 13,825 to authorize the Mayor
16 to accept the described remnant of land which is located within Block 186 of the Original City of Little
17 Rock, Arkansas; and,
18 WHEREAS, this land is currently being used by the City for parking and other public uses, and it is
19 desirable to accept this donation.
20 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. Section 1 of Little Rock, Ark. Resolution No. 13,825, adopted by the Board of Directors
23 on January 21, 2014, is hereby amended to correct the legal description, to authorize the Mayor to accept
24 the described property for public purposes, and to read as follows:
25 Section 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept for public purposes the donation and
26 title to property described as follows:
27 All that property north of land owned by the City of Little Rock in Block 186 of
28 the Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, east of the west right-of-way line of
29 Broadway Street and west of the easterly right-of-way line of Spring Street (now
30 abandoned by Ordinance No. 12,471) subject to existing easements for fiber optic
31 transmission lines and for Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department
32 purposes.
33 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
34 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or

1 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
2 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
3 ordinance.
4 Section 3.Repealer. Resolution No. 13,825 and all laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same
5 that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such
6 inconsistency.
