HomeMy WebLinkAbout13855 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,855 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO SYDNEY FLOORING 4 SOLUTIONS, LLC, FOR INSTALLATION OF SEAMLESS RUBBERIZED 5 FLOORING IN THE ASIAN ELEPHANT STALLS AT THE LITTLE 6 ROCK ZOO; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO 7 A CONTRACT WITH SYDNEY FLOORING SOLUTIONS, LLC, FOR 8 SUCH SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Zoo's leadership has determined that the Zoo's Asian elephant stalls need 11 to be renovated, and 12 WHEREAS, a Request for Proposals was issued for the elephant flooring exhibit renovation work, 13 and 14 WHEREAS, Sydney Flooring Solutions, LLC, was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder and 15 Sydney Flooring Solutions, LLC is ready and willing to accomplish the work. 16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby awards a contract to Sydney Flooring Solutions, LLC. to 19 install a seamless rubberized flooring in the Asian elephant stalls for a contract amount not to exceed Forty 20 Nine Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars($49,500.00), plus an additional 10%for any needed change orders, 21 for a total amount not to exceed Fifty-Four Thousand, Four Hundred Fifty Dollars($54,450.00).The Board 22 of Directors authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, 23 for such services. 24 Section 2. The funds for the contract are to come from the Zoo's deferred maintenance fund account. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju- 27 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution,which shall remain in full force and effect 28 as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the reso- 29 lution. 30 Section 4.Repealer.
