HomeMy WebLinkAbout13848 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,848 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO LAWNS, LIMBS, & 4 LANDSCAPING TO PROVIDE MOWING AND GROUNDS 5 MAINTENANCE SERVICES AT THE OAKLAND & FRATERNAL 6 HISTORIC CEMETERY PARK; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY 7 MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH LAWNS, LIMBS, & 8 LANDSCAPING FOR SUCH SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, after the Oakland & Fraternal Historic Cemetery Park Board approved the bidding of 11 needed lawn mowing and grounds maintenance services for the Oakland & Fraternal Historic Cemetery 12 Park,a two(2)-step Request for Proposals was issued,and 13 WHEREAS, after the contract was awarded, the low bidder has failed to perform any services to the 14 cemetery park and notice of termination of the contract has been sent, and 15 WHEREAS, the second lowest bidder, Lawns, Limbs & Landscaping is ready and willing to provide 16 the needed services. 17 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby awards a one (1)-year contract, with the possibility of two 20 (2), one (1)-year extensions, by mutual agreement, on the same terms, to Lawns, Limbs, & Landscaping 21 to provide lawn mowing and grounds maintenance services for the Oakland & Fraternal Historic 22 Cemetery Park pursuant to Request for Proposals No. 131598 for a total contract amount not to exceed 23 Ninety-Two Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ninety-Three Dollars and 88/100 Dollars ($92,993.88), and 24 authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, for such 25 services. 26 Section 2. The funds for the contract are to come from the Oakland & Fraternal Historic Cemetery 27 Park accounts. 28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju- 30 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and ef- 31 fect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 32 resolution. ]Page 1 of 2] 1 Section 4. Repealer.
