3 A RESOLUTION TO SET MARCH 18, 2014, AS THE DATE OF
4 HEARING ON THE REQUEST TO ABANDON THE EAST 140 FEET OF
5 THE UNDEVELOPED SIXTY (60)-FOOT WIDE EAST 25TH STREET
6 RIGHT-OF-WAY LYING NORTH OF BLOCK 5 OF THE SUBDIVISION
7 OF LOT 18 OF RAPLEY'S ESTATE ADDITION; AND 130 FEET OF THE
8 UNDEVELOPED SIXTY (60)-FOOT WIDE CUMBERLAND STREET
9 RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED BETWEEN EAST ROOSEVELT ROAD
10 RIGHT-OF-WAY AND EAST 25TH STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY (G-23-442)
11 IN THE CITY OF LITTLE,ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

13 WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Clerk requesting that the Board of Directors
14 abandon the east 140 feet of the undeveloped sixty (60)-foot wide East 25th Street right-of-way lying
15 north of Block 5 of the Subdivision of Lot 18 of Rapley's Estate Addition; and 130 feet of the
16 undeveloped sixty (60)-foot wide Cumberland Street right-of-way located between East Roosevelt Road
17 right-of-way and East 25th Street right-of-way in the of City of Little Rock, Arkansas, pursuant to its
18 general police power authority under Ark. Code Ann. §14-54-104;
19 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The hearing on the ordinance to abandon the above-mentioned easement shall be held at a
22 meeting of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock in the Board Room of City Hall at six o'clock
23 on the 18`h day of March, 2014.
24 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed
25 by law by publication once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Pulaski
26 County,Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock.
