HomeMy WebLinkAbout118211 2 RESOLUTION NO. 11,821 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH STUCK ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS TO 5 PROVIDE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION 6 OF A NEW ANIMAL SERVICES FACILITY; AND FOR OTHER 7 PURPOSES. 9 WHEREAS, the voters of Little Rock approved a Seventy Million, Six Hundred 10 Thirty -five Thousand Dollar ($70,635,000) Limited Obligation Capital Improvement 11 Bond Issue (Series 2004) at an election held on November 4, 2003, and 12 WHEREAS, the ballot listed projects to be funded with proceeds of the bonds to 13 be issued included improvements for Animal Services including, but not limited to, the 14 construction a new animal services facilities, and 15 WHEREAS, the City issued an RFQ under Bid No. 4217 for architectural 16 services for the design and construction of such improvements, and Stuck Associates 17 Architects were chosen as the most qualified to provide these services at an amount not 18 to exceed One Hundred Two Thousand, Two Hundred and no /100 Dollars 19 ($102,200.00), and 20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 21 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter 23 into a contract with Stuck Associates Architects for architectural services for the 24 construction of a new animal services facility at an amount not to exceed One Hundred 25 Two Thousand, Two Hundred and no /100 Dollars ($102,200.00). Funds for these services are to be allocated from the $70,635,000 2 Limited Obligation Capital Improvement Bond Issue (Series 2004). 3 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, 4 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or 5 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining 6 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so 7 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 8 resolution. 9 Section 4. Repealer.
