3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO 21ST CENTURY LAWN
4 CARE, LITTLE ROCK, TO PROVIDE MOWING AND GROUNDS
5 MAINTENANCE SERVICES AT THE OAKLAND & FRATERNAL
6 HISTORIC CEMETERY PARK; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY
7 MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH 21ST CENTURY
8 LAWN CARE FOR SUCH SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, after the Oakland & Fraternal Historic Cemetery Park Board approved the bidding of
11 needed lawn mowing and grounds maintenance services for the Oakland & Fraternal Historic Cemetery
12 Park,a two(2)-step Request for Proposals was issued, and
13 WHEREAS, of the bids received, the bid from 21' Century Lawn Care, Little Rock, was determined
14 to be from a responsive and responsible bidder and was the low bid, and
15 WHEREAS, 21'Century Lawn Care is ready and willing to perform the needed services.
16 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby awards a one-year contract, with the possibility of two one-
19 year extensions, by mutual agreement, on the same terms, to U.S. Lawns, Little Rock, to provide lawn
20 mowing and grounds maintenance services for the Oakland & Fraternal Historic Cemetery Park pursuant
21 to Request for Proposals No. 13159R for a total contract amount not to exceed Fifty-One Thousand, Five
22 Hundred and Ninety-Seven Dollars ($51,597), and authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract,
23 in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, for such services.
24 Section 2. The funds for the contract are to come from the Oakland & Fraternal Historic Cemetery
25 Park accounts.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adju-
28 dication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and ef-
29 fect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4.Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this res-
32 olution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
