3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SUNBELT FIRE, IN THE AMOUNT OF
5 FIVE HUNDRED NINETY-SIX THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED SIXTY-
6 FIVE DOLLARS ($596,265.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) E-
7 ONE CYCLONE II FIRE RESCUE UNIT, UTILIZING THE HOUSTON-
8 GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL (HGAC) COOPERATIVE PURCHASING
9 AGREEMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, Fleet Services is in need of an E-One Cyclone II Fire Rescue Unit that will replace
12 aging, front-line fire units Little Rock Fire Department; and,
13 WHEREAS, by utilizing the Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGAG), the City Fleet Services can
14 purchase the E-One Cyclone II fire rescue unit from Sunbelt Fire for the amount of Five Hundred Ninety-
15 Six Thousand,Two Hundred Sixty-Five Dollars($596,265.00);
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
19 Sunbelt Fire for the purchase of one (1) E-One Cyclone II Fire Rescue Unit that will replace aging, front-
20 line fire units, utilizing the Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGAC) Cooperative Purchasing
21 Agreement, for the amount of Five Hundred Ninety-Six Thousand, Two Hundred Sixty-Five Dollars
22 ($596,265.00).
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated as follows: 2014 Grant Match - $75,000.00; Act 833
24 Funding- $225,000.00; and Dept. of Homeland Security/County Grant- $300,000.00.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
31 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
