2 AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT THE HUGHES- MAYWOOD
4 ANNEXATION, ADDING CERTAIN LANDS TO THE CITY OF
5 LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, a petition for voluntary annexation (the "Petition') was filed with
a the County Clerk of Pulaski County, by the owner of the hereinafter designated lands,
9 praying that said lands be annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock,
10 Arkansas; and
11 WHEREAS, on August 16, 2005, the County Court of Pulaski County,
Arkansas,
12 found that the Petition was signed by a majority of the total number of the real property
13 owners of the area to be annexed and by the owners of more than one -half of the
14 acreage of said area; and
15 WHEREAS, said lands are contiguous to and adjoining the present corporate
16 limits of the City of Little Rock; and
17 WHEREAS, an accurate map of said lands has been filed with and made a part of
18 said Petition; and
19 WHEREAS, proper notice has been given for the time and in the manner
20 prescribed by land; and
21 WHEREAS, all things pertaining thereto have been done in the manner
22 prescribed by law and that said lands should be annexed to and made a part of the City
23 of Little Rock, Arkansas.
24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
25 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS THAT:
26 Section 1. The following- described territory contiguous and adjoining the City
27 of Little Rock, Arkansas, be and the same is hereby accepted as annexed to and made a
28 part of the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, to -wit:
29 ANNEXATION OF MAYWOOD MANOR LOTS 5 AND 6
30 All of Lots 5 and 6 of Maywood Manor, a subdivision of Part of the NW
31 1/4, SW 1/4 of Section 14, T -2 -N, R -14 -W, Pulaski County, Arkansas.

Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
ordinance.
Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances or resolutions of the City in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
