RESOLUTION NO. 121138
3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SCOTT CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT
5 FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) ROADSIDE VEGETATION SPRAY
6 TRUCK FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR
7 OTHER PURPOSES.
9 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is in need of one (1) roadside
10 vegetation spray truck to apply herbicides during the growing seasons and for ice and
11 snow control in the winter, and
12 WHEREAS, the sweeper will replace a 1986 model spray truck, and
13 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids under Bid #5325 for the
14 purchase of the spray truck, and the lowest responsible and responsive bid was
15 received from Scott Construction Equipment in the amount of One Hundred Eleven
16 Thousand, Seven Hundred Sixteen and 66/100 Dollars ($111,716.66).
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter
20 into a contract for the purchase of one (1) roadside vegetation spray truck, for the
21 amount of One Hundred Eleven Thousand, Seven Hundred Sixteen and 66/100 Dollars
22 ($111,716.66).
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from 2005 Short Term
24 Financing.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
26 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or

1 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
2 portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
3 declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
4 resolution.
5 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
6 are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
7 of such inconsistency.
