3 A RESOLUTION TO EXTEND THE CONTRACT FOR INTERSTATE
4 LIGHTING REPAIR PROJECT 2005 WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE
5 ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
7 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is responsible for the maintenance and
8 operation of the Interstate Lighting Facilities; and
9 WHEREAS, the project for the repair of the lighting system was bid in April of
10 2005, under Bid No. C05008, establishing prices for a one -year period and $42,090.00 has
11 already been expended to reinstall poles damaged by vehicular accidents; and
12 WHEREAS, Construction Management and Maintenance Co. submitted the
13 lowest responsible and responsive bid in an amount not to exceed One Hundred
14 Twenty -five Thousand Dollars ($125,000.00);
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
16 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to extend the existing contract
18 with Construction Management and Maintenance Co. in an amount not to exceed
19 $125,000.00 for the repair of interstate lighting facilities within the City of Little Rock
20 through April 4, 2006.
21 Section 2. Funding for the project is available from fund 200- 220 - 2360 -6081.
22 Section 3. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date
23 of its adoption.
