A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A WAIVER OF THE
POLICY OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK WHICH REQUIRES ANNEXA-
TION OF PROPERTY PRIOR TO THE PROVISION OF
WATER SERVICE TO ALLOW FORMATION OF RUNNEL
ROAD WATER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , the proposed Rummel Road Water Improve-
ment District was approved by the Little Rock Planning
Commission on October 27 , 1981; and
WHEREAS , there are approximately twenty-nine
acres lying outside the limits of the City of Little Rock
to be included in the District; and
WHEREAS , the owner of eleven acres lying outside
the City limits is willing to annex his property and the
owner of the remaining eighteen acres lying outside the
City limits is not willing to annex his property or even
be made a part of the District ; and
WHEREAS , due to the above-described hardship on
the proposed District , the Staff has recommended a
waiver of the policy of the Board which requires annexation
prior to the provision of water service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas :
Section 1. A waiver of the policy of the Board
of Directors of the City of Little Rock which requires
annexation of property prior to the provision of water
service is hereby authorized to allow formation of Runnel
Road Water Improvement District .
Section 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption and approval.
