CONCURRING WITH THE NORTH LITTLE ROCK
CITY COUNCIL AND REQUESTING THE PULASKI
COUNTY QUORUM COURT TO CALL A SPECIAL
ELECTION ON A COUNTYWIDE ONE CENT SALES
TAX.
WHEREAS, it is the position of the City of Little Rock
Board of Directors to allow the citizens to decide upon the
scope of local government and the level of municipal
services they want; and
WHEREAS , a lack of revenue has forced the Board of
Directors to approve reductions in levels of all City
services in 1982 ; and
WHEREAS, the Pulaski County Quorum Court is considering
calling a referendum on a countywide one cent sales tax.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock Board of Directors
concurs with the North Little Rock City Council in
requesting that the Pulaski County Quorum Court call a
special election on a countywide one cent sales tax.
SECTION 2 . This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
