RESOLUTION NO. 6 ,594
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHANGES IN THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING
THE ENVIRONMENTAL CODES UNIT TO REVISE THE
HOUSING MAINTENANCE STANDARDS IN THE INTENSIFIED
CODE ENFORCEMENT AREAS OF THE CDBG NEIGHBORHOODS:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The CDBG staff is authorized to make changes
in the CDBG Rehabilitation Loans and Grants Program to allow
borrowers to repay loans at 20% of their income over the
shortest period of time and at the highest interest rate that
they can afford not to exceed 10%.
SECTION 2. The Environmental Codes Unit of the Department
of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to proceed
with the development of a revised housing maintenance standards
procedure to be implemented in the intensified code enforcement
areas in conjunction with the CDBG loans and/or grants now being
offered in those areas, so that this program will better serve
all citizens within these areas.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and approval.
