A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING REGARDING THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN LANDS
WHEREAS , the Arkansas General Assembly has given
municipalities the power to annex areas that are
completely surrounded by said municipalities under
Act 314 of 1979 ; and
WHEREAS , a public hearing must be conducted within
sixty days of the proposal of the ordinance calling for
annexation.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock.
SECTION I . That the Board of Directors of the
City of Little Rock shall hold a public hearing on
December 16 , 1980 , regarding the proposed annexation of
the following property. The attached exhibits are
maps of such property and are a part of this
Resolution.
a. Exhibit A (map 1) : "Thibault Road Island: "
A tract of land located in the SW 1/4 , NE 1/4 ,
Section Twenty-one (21 ) , T-1-N, R-11-W,
Pulaski County, Arkansas .
Commencing at the NE corner of Section
Twenty-one (21 ) , T-1-N , R-11-W; thence along
the E line of Section Twenty-one (21 ) , S 01°
24 ' 24" W, 1 ,319 .38 feet to a set iron pin on
the S property line of the Little Rock Port
Authority; thence along said S property line N
88° 47 ' 55" W, 1 ,315 .31 feet to a set iron pin
on the centerline of Thibault Road, said point
also being the point of beginning ; thence
along said centerline of Thibault Road , S 01°
26 ' 07" W, 300 .00 feet; thence N 88° 47 ' 55"
W, 86 .50 feet; thence N 01° 26 ' 07" E , 300 .00
feet to a point on the S property line of the
Little Rock Port Authority; thence along said
S property line , S 88° 47 ' 55" E , 86 .50 feet

Commencing at a point that is 43 .43 feet E and
300 feet S of the NE corner of the N 1/2 of
the NE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section Seventeen
( 17 ) , T-1-N, R-11-W, Pulaski County, Arkansas;
thence proceed S 87° 56 ' W, 1363 .43 feet to
the existing Little Rock City limits , thence
southerly crossing East Roosevelt Road and
following the existing Little Rock City limits
450 feet to the toe of the existing levee , and
the point of beginning ; thence N 75° 51 ' E ,
325 feet along the toe of the levee to the W
right-of-way line of Lindsey road; thence
southeasterly 500 feet more or less , along
said westerly right-of-way line to the
intersection of said westerly right-of-way
line and the centerline of the Fourche Creek;
thence southwesterly along the meanders of the
centerline of Fourche Creek 490 feet more or
less , to the intersection of the centerline of
Fourche Creek, and the E boundary of the W
