A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
AWARD CONTRACTS FOR THE ANNUAL
CONTRACT FOR MILK FOR THE JAIL AND
COMMUNITY DAY-CARE CENTERS, FOR A
CONTRACT FOR SHELVES, RACK ENDS
AND BENCHES FOR THE NEW VEHICLE
MAINTENANCE FACILITY, FOR VEHICLE
INSURANCE FOR CITY VEHICLES, FOR
STORM DRAINAGE PROJECTS FOR THE
STEPHENS SCHOOL AND OAK FOREST
CDBG AREAS, AND FOR A CONTRACT
FOR HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING
MODIFICATION IN THE POLICE AND
COURTS BUILDING; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, an invitation to bid was duly advertised , and
bids received pursuant thereto are attached as exhibits for
the following :
Exhibit A: Annual Contract for Milk for the Jail and
Community Day-Care Centers
Exhibit B: Contract for Shelves, Rack Ends and Benches
for the New Vehicle Maintenance Facility
Exhibit C: Vehicle Insurance for City Vehicles
Exhibit D: Contract for Storm Drainage Projects for
the Stephens School and Oak Forest CDBG
Areas
Exhibit E: Contract for Heating and Air Conditioning
Modification in the Police and Courts
Building .
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidders
have been determined , and it is the desire of the Board of
Directors to authorize the issuance of contracts for such
purposes to the lowest responsive and responsible bidders.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is authorized to enter
into a contract with the bidders on the attached Exhibits
for total contract prices as set out, the funds for which
have been allocated in the 1980 budget.
SECTION 2. All items to be purchased herein shall
comply with the bidding specifications. Upon receipt of the
items or from time to time as may be required , the City
Manager and the Director of Finance are hereby authorized to
direct and to issue the necessary warrants in payment of the
contract price .
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
