A RESOLUTION DECLARING AN EXCEPTIONAL
SITUATION AND WAIVING THE REQUIREMENT
OF COMPETITIVE BIDDING IN THE CASE OF
PURCHASE OF FOOD FOR THE EAST LITTLE
ROCK COMPLEX DAY CARE CENTER AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , a formal hid requires a minimum of seven days
from the issuance of a bid _o the bid opening day; and,
WHEREAS , the above described delay arevents compliance
by the East Little Rock Complex Day Care Center with USDA
nutritional guidelines ; and
WHEREAS, if come,titive bidding requirements were
waived, written quotes co- 1d be obtained insuring adequate
competition.
NOW, THERE''OPE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . An except:'_cnal situation is declared to
exist in the case of purchase of food for the East Little Rock
Complex Day Care Center and the requirement of competitive
bidding is hereby waived for each such purchase.
SECTION 2 . Written quotes shall be obtained for each
purchase of food for the East Little Rock Complex Day Care
Center to insure adequate competition.
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
