A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO NOTIFY THE ARKANSAS COMMISSION ON CRIME
OF THE INTENT OF THE CITY TO EXERCISE
ELIGIBILITY TO BECOME AN ENTITLEMENT
JURISDICTION UNDER THE JUSTICE SYSTEM
IMPROVEMENT ACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , under the Justice System Improvement Act
the City of Little Rock is eligible to become an Entitlement
Jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS , estimates of the annual entitlement for
Little Rock are in the ran ge of $144 , 000 . 00 to $165 , 000 . 00 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to
notify the Arkansas Commission on Crime of the intent of the
City to exercise its eligibility to become an entitlement
jurisdiction under the Justice System Improvement Act .
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
