A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO ARKANSAS POWER AND
LIGHT COMPANY FOR THE INNSTALLATION OF
ADDITIONAL STREET LIGHTING AT FOUR PARKS ;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , the Parks and Recreation Department has
reviewed with Arkansas Power & Light the extension of existing
street lighting in Boyle Park , the lighting of the main drive
to University Park, the lighting of the main drive to the pro-
posed Morehart Park and an extension of existing lighting
at War Memorial Park; and,
WHEREAS , costs for these parks have been negotiated as
follows :
Boyle Park $ 4, 800 . 00
University Park $12 , 175 . 00
Morehart Park $ 1 ,525 . 33
War Memorial Park $ 2 ,171 . 00
WHEREAS , the funds for these improvements are included
in the general bond issue .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is authorized to enter
into a contract with Arkansas Power & Light for the additional
street lighting in four parks for a total contract price as
set out above , the funds for which are included in the
general bond issue .
SECTION 2 . All work purchased herein shall comply with
the negotiated specifications . From time to time as may be
required, the City Manager and the Director of Finance are
hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrants
in payment of the contract price .
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
