A RESOLUTION CONCERNING POSSIBLE CONSOLIDATION OF
SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITIES OF LITTLE ROCK AND
NORTH LITTLE ROCK.
WHEREAS, there may be potential areas of consolidation of services
between the cities of Little Rock and North Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of Little Rock desires to create a
joint commission with the Mayor and other City officials of the City of
North Little Rock to consider the potential areas of consolidations,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor of Little Rock is authorized to negotiate with
the Mayor and other City officials of North Little Rock to create and appoint
a commission to investigate potential areas of consolidation.
SECTION 2. Said commission should at least include two members of the
Little Rock City Board of Directors, a representative of the City Manager's
office and citizens of the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
