RESOLUTION NO. 6,183
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE APPLICATION OF
THE DEVELOPERS OF THE CONVENTICN CENTER FOR
DECERTIFICATION OF THE MARION HOTEL FROM THE
OLD STATE HOUSE SQUARE HISTORIC DISTRICT;
AND FOR OTHER PURPCSES.
TrkIEREAS, an application for decertification of the Marion Hotel
from the Old State House Square Historic District has been filed; and
IAIIEREAS, it is the opinion of the Department of Natural and
Cultural Heritage that the development of the Convention Center and
the destruction of the Marion will stimulate the overall development
of the district; and
W-IEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock shares
this view.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors hereby supports the application
for decertification of the Marion Hotel.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
