WHEREAS, the cities of Little Rock and North Little Rock,
Arkansas, together with Pulaski County, Arkansas , entered into
an Agreement dated April 19 , 1972 and later amended in 1976 ,
providing for public mass transportation for inhabitants of the
three entities; and
WHEREAS , the City of North Little Rock, Arkansas has failed
and refused to appropriate and pay its share of the deficit amount
of the 1979 Budget as required by Article II of the said Agreement,
as amended, which constitutes a breach of the agreement and by the
Iterms thereof effects a voluntary withdrawal by North Little Rock,
Arkansas from the Agreement.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
I THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1 . The City of Little Rock, Arkansas hereby recog-
nizes that North Little Rock, Arkansas has breached that certain
Agreement hereinabove cited for the reasons above set forth and
in keeping with its option determines and declares that North Little
Rock, Arkansas shall cease to have rights or voice in the ownership,
operation, management and assets of the transit system after June 30 ,
1979 , unless the City of North Little Rock, Arkansas appropriates
and pays its share of the 1979 deficit budget for the transit system
on or before June 30 , 1979 .
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
