A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A POLICY WITH
REGARD TO SANITATION COTJFCTION IN THE
ALLEYS;EYS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
1'EEREAS, there are fixed rates for sanitation collection for all
residents; and
WHEREAS, there is a necessity to keep costs as low as possible.
NOW, THEREFORE, FE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF TITLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Curbside collection will be implemented wherever it is
the more cost-effective and efficient method for the City.
SECTION 2. Alley pickup will be allowed in those cases where it is
more efficient and cost-effective, e. g. , where alleys are well maintained
and easily accessible to sanitation trucks; where traffic and safety
considerations preclude stopping at the curbside; and where extreme
topographical conditions exist and accessible alleys are available.
SECTION 3. Responsibility for implementing the sanitation collection
policy rests with the City Manager.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
