A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A QUITCLAIM DEED FROM THE
ARKANSAS HIGHVAY COMMISSION TO PARTS OF LOTS 1,
2, and 3, Block 79, ORIGINAL CITY, CONTAINING
19,696 SQ. FT. TOR CLOSURE OF LOUISIANA STREET
OFF-RAMP NEEDED FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE NEW
CONVENTION CENTER COMPLEX) ; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
W{EREAS, the Arkansas State Highway Commission has executed a
Quitclaim Deed for land needed for the development of a new convention
center complex, such land being the Louisiana Street off-ramp; and
VHEREAS, the City of Little Rock will close this off-ramp, and it
will no longer be needed for highway purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, EE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the Quitclaim Deed from the Arkansas Highway
Commission to Parts of Lots 1, 2, and 3, Block 79, Original City,
containing 19,696 sq. ft. , is hereby accepted.
SECTION 2. Such land is more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 1,
Block 79; thence North 89° 43' 52" Vest along the
South line of Lots 1, 2, and 3 a distance of 150.03
feet to the Southwest corner of Lot #3; thence
North 0° 13' 50" East along the Vest line of Lot #3
a distance of 140.02 feet to the Northwest corner of
Lot 3; thence South 89° 43' 52" East along the North
line of Lot W3 a distance of 32.69 feet to a point;
thence South 78° 57' 11" East a distance of 119.46
feet to a point on the East line of Lot 1; thence
South 0° 13' 50" Test along said East line a distance
of 117.68 feet to the point of beginning and containing
19,696 square feet, more or less.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
