RESOLUTION NO. 6,160
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT FOR OFFICE SPACE
FOR THE CETA TITLE IV CAREER ADVANCEMENT
VOUCHER DEMONSTRATION PROJECT; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City' s participation in the CETA Title IV
Career Advancement Voucher Demonstration Project was recently
authorized by resolution of the Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, office space is available in the Union National
Bank Building at 4th and Center Streets for lease for this
project; and
WHEREAS, the space measures 1, 379 square feet and at
a rate of $7 . 50 per square foot, the annual rent will be
$10,342 . 50; and
WHEREAS, an exceptional situation exists in this
situation because the particular office space now available
which meets the peculiar and unique requirements of this
project as to size, location and price and, therefore, compe-
titive bidding is not feasible and should be waived.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1 . That it is hereby declared that an excep-
tional situation exists and competitive bidding is not feasible
due to peculiar & unique requirements of this project, and,
therefore, competitive bidding is hereby waived.
SECTION 2 . That the City Manager is authorized to
enter into a lease agreement on behalf of the City for office
space for the CETA Title IV Career Advancement Voucher Demon-
stration Project with Union National Bank.
SECTION 3 . That the lease authorized herein shall be
for a period of one year with an approximate yearly rental
of $10, 342 . 50
SECTION 4 . That the City Manager is hereby authorized
and directed to execute and acknowledge the lease authorized
herein in behalf of the City.
SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
