RESOLUTION NO. 6,156
A RESOLUTION REPEALING THAT PORTION OF
RESOLUTION NO. 6143 WHICH REFERS TO BID
ITEM NO. 7 FOR ONE-QUARTER TON PICK-UPS;
CANCELLING A PREVIOUS BID AND ACCEPTING
A PREVIOUS BID; AUTHORIZING A NEW AWARD
OF A CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 6143 the Board of Directors
authorized the City Manager to enter into a contract with Cliff
Peck Chevrolet for the purchase of one-quarter ton pickups shown
as Bid Item No.7 on Exhibit C to Resolution No. 6143; and
WHEREAS , Cliff Peck Chevrolet did not take exception on
their bid for color; and
WHEREAS, Little Rock Dodge had shown an exception for color
on their bid and their bid was therefore disqualified; and
WHEREAS, after receiving the purchase order for this award,
Cliff Peck Chevrolet has been unable to supply the color requested;
and
WHEREAS, both vendors can supply the color white and Little
Rock Dodge is the low bidder for the color white; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors to
authorize the issuance of contracts for such purchases to the
lowest responsive and responsible bidders.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. That portion of Resolution No. 6143 which accepts
the bid and awards a contract for Bid Item No.7 for the purchase of
one-quarter ton pick-ups is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2 . The previous bid acceptance of Cliff Peck Chev-
rolet for the purchase of Bid Item No.7 as shown on Exhibit C to
Resolution No. 6143 and the contract awarded pursuant there to
are hereby cancelled.

SECTION 3 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter
into a contract with Little Rock Dodge for the purchase as shown
on the attached exhibits for a total contract price as set out,
the funds for which have been allocated in the 1979 budget.
SECTION 4 . All items to be purchased herein shall comply
with the bidding specifications. Upon receipt of the items,
or from time to time as may be required, the City Manager and
the Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to
issue the necessary warrants in payment of the said contract prices.
SECTION 5. All other parts of Resolution No. 6143 not in
conflict herewith shall remain in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
SECTION 6 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
