A RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE ANNEXATION OF THE CITY
OF ALEXANDER OF CERTAIN LANDS ; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, the City of Alexander has filed a petition with
the Pulaski County Court to be heard February 20, 1979 for the
annexation of 1, 251 . 7 acres more or less; and
WHEREAS , Alexander has a total size of 65 . 5 acres and a
population of 297 and is unable to provide the necessary urban
services to those persons and thus will be unable to do so in
the area to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, the annexation by Alexander of the land may result
in an untimely delay in the approval process of federal funding
for Sewer Improvement District 142 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. That the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock opposes the annexation by the City of Alexander of
certain lands.
SECTION 2 . That the Board of Directors requests Pulaski
County Judge Beaumont not approve the annexation petition of
Alexander.
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
