A RESOLUTION IN MEMORIAM OF JAMES A. WELLONS
WHEREAS, James A. Wellons died on August 11 , 1978 , at
the age of 59 ;
WHEREAS, he devoted his life to serving a community he
loved , as demonstrated by his participation in the affairs
of the Little Rock Regional Airport as a member of the Board
of Commissioners, and by his work as a member of the Little
Rock Advertising and Promotion Commission; and ,
WHEREAS, James A. Wellons furthered his service to the
City as a member of the Little Rock Board of Directors until
his death; and ,
WHEREAS, he is remembered for the warmth and wisdom he
carried to all those who knew and worked with him; and ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1 . The life of James A. Wellons has been a
genuine inspiration to all who knew him. His character, his
leadership and his interest in his fellowman will be
missed .
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption .
