A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO NOTIFY PROPERTY
OWNERS OF THEIR VIOLATIONS OF CITY CODES, ASKING
THEM TO CLEAN UP DEBRIS , SEAL THE BUILDINGS, OR
RENOVATE OR DEMOLISH THEM.
WHEREAS , many structures in the 500 through 1000 block
of West 9th Street are in a dilapidated state; and
WHEREAS, of the 22 buildings in the area, five were
found to be standard, eight substandard and nine condemnable
according to City standards; and
WHEREAS , such buildings post a health and safety hazard
to the citizens of Little Rock;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1 . Staff is authorized to notify the property
owners in the above area of their violations of City codes,
asking them to clean up the debris, seal the buildings , or
renovate or demolish them within the time period allowed
by the Little Rock Code of Ordinances .
SECTION 2 . This resolution shall be in full force from
and after its adoption.
