A RESOLUTION EMPLOYING BOND COUNSEL FOR THE
PROPOSED LITTLE ROCK CONVENTION CENTER REVENUE
BONDS
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas (the "City" )
proposes to join with private developers to construct and equip
on Markham Street a new convention center/hotel complex (the
"Convention Facility") ; and
WHEREAS, it is proposed that a portion of the cost of
the Convention Facility be financed by the issuance by the City
of revenue bonds payable from proceeds of the City ' s tax on hotel ,
motel and restaurant sales (the "Bonds" ) ; and
WHEREAS, the City Advertising and Promotion Commission
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas (the "Commission") is proceeding
with necessary planning for the Convention Facility and has recom-
mended the employment of the law firm of Friday, Eldredge & Clark,
Little Rock, Arkansas , as bond counsel to the City in connection
with the issuance of the Bonds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BY IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. That the law firm of Friday, Eldredge & Clark,
Little Rock, Arkansas, be, and it is hereby is, employed as bond
counsel to the City in connection with the issuance of the Bonds .
Section 2 . That this resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
