A RESOLUTION DIRECTING CITY STAFF TO USE THE INJECTION METHOD
OF EUTHANASIA EXCLUSIVELY AT THE CITY ANIMAL SHELTER FOR A
TRIAL PERIOD OF THREE MONTHS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Animal Shelter currently uses the Euthanaire method in
euthanizing unclaimed animals; and
WHEREAS, there has been concern expressed by the public as to the use of
this method.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock hereby
directs the city staff to use the injection method of euthanasia exclusively
at the City Animal Shelter for a trial period of three months.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
