HomeMy WebLinkAbout6039 RESOLUTION NO. 6,039 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEDICATION DEEDS FROM THE SIDNEY THOM FAMILY AND FROM RECTOR-PHILLIPS-MORSE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES . WHEREAS, the Sidney Thom family, who have conveyed parcels of a tract for Gillam Park over the last three-year period, desire to dedicate an additional parcel of land; and WHEREAS, Rector-Phillips-Morse has submitted a dedication deed for a tract of land at the intersection of University and Evergreen Streets . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS . SECTION 1 . The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock hereby accepts the dedication deeds from the Thom family and Rector-Phillips-Morse for lands more accurately described in the deeds attached hereto. SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. Thom and Penelope B. , his wife, as a gift to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, do hereby grant, donate, dedicate, and convey unto the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, its successors and assigns forever, the following lands lying in the County of Pulaski and the State of Arkansas, to wit: An undivided two-fifths (2/5) interest in a part of the SW 14, NW 4i Section 24, T-1-N, R-12-W, Pulaski County, Arkansas, More particularly described as follows: All of that part of the SW 14, NW 4f Section 24, T-1-N, R-12-W, lying west of Gillam Park Road, except the north 250' thereof, containing 17 acres more or less. TO HAVE AND HOLD the same unto the said Grantee and unto its successors and assigns forever, with all the appurtenances thereto belonging. Grantee, as a part of the consideration hereof, does covenant that it will permanently maintain and use said land for public purposes.
