A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING DOYLE W. ROGERS & WORSHAM
BROTHERS COMPANY, INC. AS PREFERRED DEVELOPERS OF
THE CONVENTION/EXHIBIT AND HOTEL COMPLEX; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock by Ordinance levied a one
(1%) percent tax upon the gross receipts of hotels , motels, restau-
rants, cafes and cafeterias in the City; and
WHEREAS , the funds from such collection may be used for the
development of the Convention/Exhibit and Hotel Complex to be
located on the Marion and Manning Hotel sites; and
WHEREAS, Doyle W. Rogers and Worsham Brothers Co. , Inc. desire
to be designated as the preferred developer of this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . Doyle W. Rogers and Worsham Brothers Co. , Inc.
are hereby designated as preferred developers of the Convention/
Exhibit and Hotel Complex;
SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock will not entertain other
proposals or negotiate with any other developers for a project of
a similar nature. The above referenced company has also had the
opportunity to negotiate with the City.
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
