A RESOLUTION REAFFIRMING THE POLICY OF THE LITTLE
ROCK BOARD OF DIRECTORS PERTAINING TO THE USE OF
PROPERTY ADJACENT TO MACARTHUR PARK IN LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS .
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Board of Directors passed Reso-
lution No. 5, 526 on April 20, 1976 recognizing the special sig-
nificance of the MacArthur Park area and that said area adjacent
to the Park enjoys a special relationship to the park and the
community for residential and office purposes; and
WHEREAS, the value of the area is threatened by the uses
of property that could have a negative effect on the park and
its use and enjoyment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors reaffirms the policy
expressed in Resolution No. 5, 526 pertaining to the area adja-
cent to MacArthur Park.
SECTION 2 . The Board of Directors reaffirms their requests
of the Little Rock Board of Adjustment that no Conditional Use
Permits for uses of property not allowed in the "E-1" Quiet
Business Zoning District be approved in the area adjacent to
(contiguous to or across the street from) MacArthur Park.
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
