A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNATED
REPRESENTATIVE TO PURSUE COORDINATED EFFORTS WITH VARIOUS
FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL AGENCIES IN MAPPING REQUIREMENTS
AND WATERSHED PROBLEMS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the existing City of Little Rock Drainage Plan was prepared in
1962; and
WHEREAS, the City has grown from approximately fifty-two square miles to
over fifty-seven square miles since the Plan was prepared; and
WHEREAS, many drainage improvements made since 1962 have not been updated
in the Plan, thus the 1962 Plan is now outdated,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock hereby
authorizes the City Manager or his designated Representative to pursue a
coordinated effort with various Federal, State and Local Agencies to find
and develop a mapping and graphics program for the City.
SECTION 2. Special emphasis is to be given in that effort to a
Drainage Program.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
