HomeMy WebLinkAbout6012 RESOLUTION NO. 6,012 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS & AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR PAVING OF BICYCLE PATHS IN WAR MEMORIAL PARK; FOR THE ANNUAL PURCHASE OF ROCK SALT FOR ICE REMO- VAL; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES . WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids received pursuant thereto according to law for the following: (a) Paving of bicycle paths in War Memorial Park; (b) Annual purchase of rock salt for ice removal; and WHEREAS , the lowest responsible and responsive bidders have been determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to authorize the issuance of contracts for such pur- chases and work to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS : SECTION 1. Contracts are awarded to the bidders named on Exhibit "A" hereto for the paving of bicycle paths in War Memorial Park, the prices for which are also set out on Exhibit "A" . Total contract price is $19 , 808 . 00 and funds have been allocated for such in the 1978 City Budget. SECTION 2. A contract is awarded to the bidder named on Exhibit "B" for the annual purchase of rock salt for ice remo- val, the price for which is also set out on Exhibit "B" . Total cost is $893. 20 , and funds have been allocated for such in the 1978 City Budget. SECTION 3 . All items authorized to be purchased herein and all work authorized to be performed shall at all times comply with bidding specifications. Upon receipt of the items, or from time to time as may be required, the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrants in payment of said contract prices. SECTION 4 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
