RESOLUTION NO . 6,006
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS & AWARDING CONTRACTS
FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROL EQUIPMENT , FOR THE
SERVICE CONTRACT FOR PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
OF COMMUNICATION & FM RADIO EQUIPMENT.; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS , invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids
received pursuant thereto according to law for the following:
a. Traffic Signal Control Equipment ; and
b . Annual Service Contract for Preventative
Maintenance of Communication & FM Radio
Equipment ; and
WHEREAS , the lowest responsible and responsive bidders have
been determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to
authorize the issuance of contracts for such purchases and work to
the lowest responsive and responsible bidder .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . A contract is awarded to the bidders named on
Exhibit "A" attached hereto for the traffic signal control equip-
ment , the price for which is also set out on Exhibit "A" . Total
purchase price is $5 ,927 .56 , and funds have been allocated for such
in the 1978 City Budget .
SECTION 2 . A contract is awarded to the bidder named on
Exhibit "B" for an annual service contract for preventative mainte-
nance of communication and FM radio equipment . Total contract price
shall not exceed that budgeted as shown on Exhibit "B" , and funds
have been allocated for such in the 1978 City Budget .
SECTION 3 . All items authorized to be purchased herein and all
work authorized to be performed shall at all times comply with bidding
specifications . Upon receipt of the items , or from time to time as
may be required , the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrants in payment
of said contract prices .

SECTION 4 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption .
