A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
SUBMIT APPLICATION FOR THE U.S. DEPT. OF LABOR
PURSUANT TO TITLE I AND TITLE III OF THE COMPRE-
HENSIVE EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING ACT OF 1973;
AND TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
THE GRANT AGREEMENT AND ANY SUBSEQUENT MODIFI-
CATIONS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has entered into an agree-
ment for a Consortium as authorized by State law with the Counties
of Pulaski , Faulkner, Lonoke and Saline for delivery of manpower ser-
vices under the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock was designated as the
administrative unit for the operation of the program; and
WHEREAS, in order to effectively operate the program, the
the City Manager of Little Rock should be given authority to administer
the program;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to submit
application to the U.S. Department of Labor pursuant to Title I and
Title III of the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973
for operating funds .
SECTION 2 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
any grant agreements under the Comprehensive Employment and Training
Act .
SECTION 3 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
any subsequent modifications to the grant .
SECTION 4 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into
any subcontracts with the appropriate operating agencies to administer
the program.
SECTION 5 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption .
