A RESOLUTION TO THE ARKANSAS HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT
TO EXTEND 1-630 WHERE IT INTERSECTS THE ROCK
CREEK PARKWAY CONNECTING WITH HIGHWAY 10; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has an interest in seeing that
her residents are provided with an adequate street system; and
WHEREAS, there is a need for the extension of 1-630 at the inter-
section of the Rock Creek Parkway connecting Highway 10 ; and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock' s Master Street Plan includes a
roadway connection between 1-630 and Rock Creek Parkway; and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock and the State Highway Commission
have officially approved the Pulaski Area Transportation Plan which
includes a roadway connection between 1-630 at Shackleford Road and
the Rock Creek Parkway; and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock , through the Arkansas Highway
Department , is conducting the necessary studies to determine the speci-
fic alighment , right-of-way and design standards for future development
of the proposed connection between 1-630 and Rock Creek Parkway .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . The City of Little Rock does hereby request that the
Arkansas Highway Department make the Rock Creek Parkway extension of
1-630 a part of the State Highway System.
SECTION 2 . The City of Little Rock does hereby request that the
Arkansas Highway Department extend 1-630 to the Rock Creek Parkway
connecting with Highway 10 .
SECTION 3 . This Resolution is in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
