HomeMy WebLinkAbout5949 -•fix r: -? ^k'`4.'s.iY 4:.«i, ,-.",�`-". a RESOLUTION NO. 5,949 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS FOR HOSPITALIZATION INSURANCE FOR CITY EMPLOYEES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to extend an agreement with the American National Insurance Company of Galveston, Texas to be serviced through the Arkansas Municipal League whereby hospitalization insurance will be provided for all active employees of the City of Little Rock with premium costs at a monthly rate effective July 1, 1978, not to exceed $24.57 per employee being paid by the City of Little Rock. Cost for dependent coverage to be paid by the employee will be $36.54. SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the following modifications to the hospitalization insurance plan with the American National Insurance Company: increase the Basic plan deductible to $50; increase Major Medical plan maximum to $100,000; change Major Medical Co-insurance to 100% after $5,000 of benefits are paid in a calendar year; increase Major Medical Conversion Multiplier to 12 points. SECTION 3. Competitive bidding for hospitalization insurance for purposes of extending the present policy is hereby waived. SECTION 4.
