A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING
CONTRACTS FOR FERTILIZERS AND CHEMICALS
AND TOWEL AND LINEN SERVICE; AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids
received pursuant thereto according to law for the annual pur-
chase of fertilizers and chemicals and towel and linen service;
and,
WHEREAS , the lowest responsible and responsive bidders have
been determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors
to authorize the issuance of contracts for such purchases from
the lowest responsible and responsive bidders .
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1 . Contracts are hereby awarded to the various
bidders named on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, which is made a
part hereof, for the purchase of fertilizers and chemicals
for the next twelve month period. The specific items to be
purchased and the separate prices therefor are also set out
on said Exhibit "A" . Funds for these purchases have been
allocated in the 1978 City Budget and such purchases shall not
exceed the amount so budgeted.
SECTION 2 . A contract is hereby awarded to City Linen &
Uniform Service of Malvern, Arkansas to provide towel and linen
service for the next twelve month period. A copy of the Abstract
of Bids is attached hereto as Exhibit "B" . Funds for this ser-
vice have been allocated in the 1978 City Budget and costs for
such service shall not exceed the amount so budgeted.
SECTION 3 . All purchases and services authorized herein
shall at all times comply with bidding specifications . The City
Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed
to issue the necessary warrants in payment thereof.
SECTION 4 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
