A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND ESTABLISHING A POLICY
REGARDING QUALITY GROWTH IN THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock hereby adopt and establish the following policy:
To encourage quality growth within the City of Little
Rock and in those areas which are within a growing
distance of the City, and to bring those areas within
the City limits .
SECTION 2 . To aid in carrying out the aforesaid policy,
the following steps shall be henceforth commenced:
a) To encourage the voluntary annexation to the City
of land contiguous to the City by withholding
Water and Sewer services until annexation has
been accomplished.
b) To deny Water and Sewer service to those areas that
are not within a reasonable distance to voluntarily
annex until development agrees to conform to reason-
able City codes and ordinances to assure quality
growth until such time as they may be eligible for
annexation .
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
