A RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO THE PROPOSED SITE FOR A
SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock hereby
urges the Little Rock Wastewater Utility Commission not to locate a proposed
sewage treatment plant on Beck Road for the reason that such would be
harmful to the area and environmentally unsound.
SECTION 2. Based on the recommendations received by the Board of
Directors, there is a great need for additional sewage treatment facilities
in Western Little Rock, with concern for future growth of the City. The
need for a Work Session with the Wastewater Utility Staff and Sewer
Committee is hereby declared to exist in order to determine the location and
other requirements, to provide these badly needed facilities.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
