A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF
ARKANSAS FOR FUNDS FOR A HIGHWAY TRAFFIC
SAFETY PROGRAM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby axthorized to make
application to the State of Arkansas for funds in the amount of
$147, 028. 00 in order that the City of Little Rock take part in
a comprehensive program directed at all aspects of traffic safety.
Said program will assist local law enforcement agencies in the
acquisition of manpower and equipment necessary for said program.
This program is in conjunction with the National Highway Safety
Act of 1966 which provides federal funds to states for approved
highway safety programs.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
