A RESOLUTION OF COP'MMENDATION TO MR. ROY F. KUMPE
WHEREAS , Roy F. Kumpe, founder and executive director of the
Arkansas Enterprises for the Blind since 1939 has retired after
forty years of service to the blind; and
WHEREAS , Roy F. Kumpe , during these past forty years of service
has encouraged, guided and initiated programs providing rehabilitation
and training to thousands of persons handicapped through blindness ,
or partial loss of sight; and
WHEREAS , these programs have assisted handicapped persons to
establish new vocations and become productive members of society; and
WHEREAS, the tireless efforts of Roy F. Kumpe in the Arkansas
Enterprises for the Blind have contributed immensely to the changing
of society' s views concerning the roll of blind persons in today' s
work force.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors hereby recognizes and commends
Mr. Roy F. Kumpe for his forty years of service to Little Rock and the
nation and for his selfless efforts to aid the blind.
SECTION 2. The Board of Directors extends to Mr. Kumpe their
personal thanks and wish for him and his family future success, health
and happiness.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
