A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY FOR DRAINAGE RIGHT OF WAY PURPOSES;
DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO PREPARE THE NECESSARY
DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the purchase
of the following described real property situated in Pulaski County,
Arkansas for a total purchase price not to exceed $78 , 000 .00 , from
the owners , Little Rock Sign Company, to be used as a right of way
for drainage improvements serving the Blakemore Ditch in southwestern
Little Rock:
All of Lots 4, 5, 6 , & 7 of the Remmel Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas and that part of Lot 3
Remmel Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas described
as follows :
Commence at the SW corner of Lot 3 travel 3 . 46 ' E along
the S line of Lot 3 thence northeasterly to a point on
the W property line of Lot 3 said point being 11 . 1 ' S
of the NW corner of Lot 3 , thence S 128 .9 ' along W line
of Lot 3 to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2 . The City Attorney ' s Office is hereby authorized and
directed to prepare the necessary documents to effectuate the purchase
of said property authorized in Section 1 hereof vesting fee simple
title thereto in the City of Little Rock. Funds for this purchase
have been allocated in the Community Development Block Grant Program.
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
