A RESOLUTION AMENDING VARIOUS RESOLUTIONS AWARDING
CONTRACTS AND AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURES FOR CON-
STRUCTION PROJECTS UNDER COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT PROGRAM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS , unit price construction contracts as a general rule
will exceed in dollar amount the contract award amount due to the
fact that engineers estimates of exact numbers of units as
ultimately used is near impossible to forecast; and
WHEREAS , when additional units become necessary change orders
are executed authorizing such together with the increased cost
thereof; and
WHEREAS , change orders have been executed for increased units
and contract cost over the amounts awarded in the contracts for
those projects authorized by those Resolutions set forth on Exhibit
"A" , attached hereto and therefore becomes necessary to amend those
Resolutions to fix the maximum amount to be expended for each such
contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Those Resolutions of the Board of Directors
awarding construction contracts under Community Development Block
Grant Program to certain contractors for specific dollar amounts
all as set forth on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof are hereby amended to establish the maximum dollar amount
authorized for expenditure on each such contract as shown in the
right hand and last column on Exhibit "A" .
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
