A RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION AND HONORING RABBI
IRA A. SANDERS FOR HIS LIFE OF PUBLIC SERVICE;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , Rabbi Ira A. Sanders has submitted his resignation as
a member of the Board of Trustees of the Little Rock Public Library
in which capacity he has served for fifty-one (51) years; and
WHEREAS , Rabbi Sanders with his long, effective and dedicated
public service has contributed immeasurably to the success of the
Library affording all people great pleasure and educational training;
and
WHEREAS , the City of Little Rock would honor and commend Rabbi
Sanders for his life of public service .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . The people of Little Rock hereby express deep
gratitude to Rabbi Ira A. Sanders for fifty-one (51) years of public
service as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Little Rock Public
Library and commend and honor him for his contribution to this City.
SECTION 2 . The resignation of Rabbi Ira A. Sanders as a member
of the Board of Trustees of the Little Rock Public Library is hereby
accepted and all wish for him future health and happiness .
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
