A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE GOALS AND PURPOSES
OF THE PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM; AGREEING TO ASSIST IN
THE OPERATION OF THE PROGRAM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock
desires to cooperate with and work with the governing bodies of
other local units of government in the Central Arkansas area to
promote policies which enhance the quality of life and the econo-
mic condition of the residents of the area; and
WHEREAS , the Board of Directors desire to achieve the best
use of available local, state and federal human services dollars;
and,
WHEREAS , the Partnership Program of the United States De-
partment of Health, Education aid Welfare has provided funds to
Pulaski County to operate a program to assist local governments
in dealing with human services issues .
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . The Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock hereby endorses and supports the goals of the Partnership
Program and agrees to assist in the operation of the Project
by providing necessary material and information for the purpose
of developing an inventory of human services programs provided
by the City, by making appointments to the local Human Services
Policy Advisory Committee and by participating in a communication
process to examine issues related to human services needs and
programs .
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption .
