A RESOLUTION ENDORSING "THE FRIENDSHIP FORCE
OF ARKANSAS" PROGRAM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS , The Friendship Force is a nonprofit, private
organization chartered for the purpose of promoting peace in the
world through "the force of friendship. " The program consists
of ten day exchange visits with people in other countries, and
primarily the exchanges will be with people of similar occu-
pations ; and
WHEREAS, central Arkansas has been the first area in the
state selected to participate in the Friendship exchange program
with a foreign country; and
WHEREAS, THE Friendship Force of Arkansas is an exciting
opportunity for the people of central Arkansas to promote world
peace .
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors hereby endorses 'The
Friendship Force of Arkansas" program and offerstheir enthu-
siastic support to the participants in this program for the
successful completion of their mission.
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
